Join the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway for a range of benefits.
This is probably the most exciting time to join the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway since the 1980s.
We have completed the historic platform canopy dating back to Brunel's day, even before our railway opened in 1866. Plans are in hand to bring in a historic signal box, and additional grants have enabled us to improve the station facilities at Wallingford. Plans are also being drawn for a station building at Wallingford.
The Benefits of Membership
- The knowledge that your support is helping to preserve a part of our railway heritage.
- A free copy of "The Bunk" Magazine, which is produced three times a year, in the run-up to Easter, BunkFest, and Christmas.
- Travel Vouchers: your Membership card entitles you to four trips each year. Present your card at the Ticket Office for one return ticket which is valid for travel all day if there is space on the trains. You can also book online for £1 booking fee. Membership travel is available on most normal operating days except special events such as the 1940s weekend or the Santa Express.
- Enjoy a Members' Day which is a great opportunity for members to visit Wallingford Station when it is not open to the public, to ride the train for free, and to give the staff feedback on how we are doing, and your ideas for what else we should be doing.
- The opportunity to become a working volunteer to help keep the railway in operation or help in restoration.
The easiest way to become a Member is online. You will receive your Membership Card and a copy of the latest Bunk Magazine will be emailed to you as part of the joining process.

Gifting Membership to others?
If you want to gift Membership to others complete the Membership form with the details that you know and return it to Wallingford Station – making clear it is a gift – and include your own details, and the Membership Team will contact you to collect the rest of the details.

Magical Express
Magical Express. As if a trip on our line weren't magical enough, we're conjuring up a special treat for the early May Bank Holiday. Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th May.
On Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th May, our resident magician, Simon Says Magic, will be moving through the train and amazing you with his feats of prestidigitation.
