The current lockdown measures mean that our heritage railway was closed for 2020 but things are looking up!
We very much look forward to welcoming our many Visitors, Members and Supporters, once we are able to do so. In readiness for welcoming back our visitors we have been busy developing safety measures for all - meanwhile, do take care and stay safe!
Everyone you meet at the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway is a Volunteer - nobody receives a salary, we do it because we enjoy it - plus our aim is to help to educate future generations, and for them to experience and enjoy our heritage.
We have worked incredibly hard to ensure your future journey is COVID-19 safe - whilst also keeping your visit enjoyable! But it does mean that we will have to necessarily limit the number of people we welcome onto our services when they re-start. Please do follow all Government rules and advice on travelling by public transport, and when you visit us we also ask you to take note of the following to get the most from your visit.
You must pre-book your tickets and refreshments online before travelling. Whilst restrictions remain in place, we are sorry but we cannot welcome casual visitors (including members).
Let us know if you have any special mobility or other needs. Unfortunately, our ability to take wheelchairs is limited to one per trip.
Please arrive between 15-30 minutes prior to your train departure time and bring proof of your booking either in paper or electronic form.
To keep everyone safe during your visit, please:
