The Cross Keys- Home of Wallingford Bunkfest

Bunkfest Session Following the sucess of the first Wallingford Bunkfest in 2002, the popular festival of Music, Dance, Beer and Steam will return this year on August 29th- 31st. The festival will feature some of the very best in folk music and a whole lot more. The Cross Keys will form one of the main venues for the festival with major concerts held in the marquee and music sessions and other live music in the pub itself.

To Beer... The idea of having a folk festival in Wallingford was first hatched in the back room of the Cross Keys and, subsequently, many hours of planning by festival organisers Bob, Jo, Dave and Colin made the first event a reality. Visit the Bunkfest Website for more details.

Bloke in Dodgy Hat An open fire is often alight in the winter months providing welcome warmth to the drinker, whilst a juke box provides a variety of music. Up a few steps and above the cellar, another smaller room provides an ideal place for a chat and is used for darts at various points during the week.

To the right of the pub the Lounge Bar normally provides a quieter place, except on the popular music session nights where the room is full to the rafters. The Backroom located behind the Lounge has been newly decorated in a more modern style to provide an ideal place to have a relaxing drink midweek or at the weekend.
