The task of keeping the railway and its rolling stock in good order is dependant on
a small group of dedicated enthusiasts who are always looking for an extra pair
of hands to help spread the work load. You may have no previous experience of
restoration work but even armed with a paintbrush you can achieve a great deal.
So come down one weekend in some old clothes and
give it a try, tell us what you want to do-if you don't like it at the end of
the day, walk away, but you might surprise yourself as to what you do in just
one day and we would be more than pleased to see you return.
Following the re-development of the Malt factory adjacent to the railway,
some land has been secured at our Wallingford station site. Plans are
now being finalised for the re-development of the site to form a replica
GWR station, similar to the original. This will not become a reality without
more volunteers, so, if you are interested in becoming involved, join up
right away.
